Solution for AMCC Power Architecture 405EZ
Immediate Availability of Development Tools and Operating Systems
for 32-bit Embedded Processor

Green Hills Software, Inc., the technology leader in device software

systems (RTOS), today announced the immediate availability of its
comprehensive software development solution targeting Applied Micro Circuit
Corporation’s (AMCC) [NASDAQ:AMCC] Power Architecture 405EZ embedded
processor. Components of the Green Hills Software development toolkit
include: royalty-free RTOSes, optimizing
C/C++ compilers for Power Architecture, MULTI integrated
development environment (IDE), virtual prototyping platform, DoubleCheck integrated
static analyzer, and high-speed
hardware debug probes.

With speeds of up to 400 MHz, a flexible on-chip and off-chip memory
architecture, a unique combination of ADC, DAC, and configurable Chameleon
Timer©/PWM, and a diverse connectivity package, the Power Architecture
405EZ embedded processor provides a low power and small footprint system-on-a-chip
solution for a wide range of high performance, cost-constrained embedded
applications. Applications include industrial control, high-precision
AC, DC and servo drive control, instrumentation, data acquisition,
industrial automation, building and enclosure management, commercial
