systems (RTOS), today announced that EZURiO is using Green Hills
Software's INTEGRITY® family
of operating systems, including the velOSity™ real-time
operating system, in EZURiO’s Wireless Intelligent Serial Module
(WISM) for medical and point-of-sale terminals and in its Wireless Intelligent
Telematics System (WiTS).

EZURiO’s WISM cards allow a module to become an active participant
in remote monitoring applications rather than the usual basic WiFi conduit. velOSity allows
EZURiO to implement an abstracted programming interface to construct
powerful M2M applications. EZURiO's WISM modules make it easy for embedded
engineers to add Web 2.0 capability to their designs. The device provides
a serial interface for data and control, general purpose I/O lines, and
all the required WiFi and TCP/IP networking support. This allows complete
applications such as remote thermometers and other monitoring devices
to be implemented inside the WISM module, drastically reducing the cost
of producing wirelessly enabled products.
About WiTS
WiTS is a real-time store and forward telematics platform which handles
real-time events and communications, which have very tight timing and
control parameters. WiTS is based on EZURiO's latest Wireless M2M system
and combines inexpensive, intelligent vehicle data logging monitors
with an end-to-end system that securely replicates the data with a
hosted database. The system provides an easy-to-deploy platform that
fleet management companies can use to build their own applications.
WiTS offers a cellular-free 802.11 (Wi-Fi) transmission scheme that
removes the cost of SIMs and network subscriptions.
