Green Hills Software to Demonstrate Secure
Hosting of ICONICS’ GENESIS32 SCADA Software on Internet-connected

SANTA BARBARA, CA—October 13, 2008—Green Hills Software,
Inc., the technology leader in device software optimization (DSO) and real-time
operating systems (RTOS), will demonstrate its secure environment
for hosting Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications
at the ISA EXPO, October 14 – 16, 2008, in Houston, TX. Green Hills
will have multiple Intel®-based secure industrial platforms
at the ISA EXPO showcasing the scalability of the Intel® architecture
processors and the INTEGRITY® real
time operating system.
The Green Hills INTEGRITY Padded Cell™ secure
virtualization technology will be featured hosting Windows and
Linux guest operating systems running on an Intel® Core™2
Duo processor. The use of secure virtualization technology enables
automation users to separate critical resources and networks from personal
resources (email, web browsing, and the Internet), reducing the risk
of security breaches into critical infrastructure systems. Along with
increased security, there are benefits in terms of size, power, and
weight. The ICONICS GENESIS32™ automation suite will be hosted
inside one of the INTEGRITY Padded Cells. GENESIS32 is a HMI/SCADA
application used for managing plants and control systems.
INTEGRITY will also be demonstrated on the Intel® Atom™ Processor
N270 targeting low-power industrial applications. The Intel Atom Processor
N270 will host real-time tasks common in industrial automation, representing
a typical embedded controller that would be found on the factory floor.
The INTEGRITY RTOS has been certified to Safety Integrity Level (SIL)
3 by TÜV for use in safety-critical control and automation applications,
and scales for use in applications ranging from deeply embedded controllers
with hard real-time requirements to workstations and server class equipment
responsible for ensuring the security of HMI/SCADA applications.
The secure industrial platform demonstrations will be presented in the
Green Hills Software booth # 2124.
ICONICS will be exhibiting in booth #1942.
