Green Hills Software and Imation to Provide Interoperable Data-at-Rest Protection on IronKey Encrypted USB Drives

(NYSE: IMN), a global data storage and information security company, today announced that Green Hills Software's INTEGRITY® RTOS now can support secure file access on Imation's IronKey™ encrypted USB storage platform.

INTEGRITY RTOS, a platform-independent real-time operating system, is built upon a partitioning architecture to provide embedded systems that deliver maximum reliability, security, and real-time performance across a variety of applications, including avionics, automotive, financial and military.

The joint solution provides interoperable data-at-rest protection for INTEGRITY applications and encrypted file transfer between Windows, Linux and INTEGRITY systems on IronKey Basic S250 and D250 USB drives. These capabilities are important for storing security-classified, confidential or regulated information in defense and financial applications.

Imation's IronKey portfolio of encrypted USB drives is widely used in government, military and enterprise environments to protect sensitive data and help meet regulatory requirements. IronKey drives are FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated and feature AES 256-bit hardware encryption. Hardware-level key management, powered by the IronKey Cryptochip, keeps encryption management on the device and does not export AES encryption keys to the host PC, protecting against cold-boot and malware attacks.
