IEE is using Green Hills Software’s µ-velOSity™ RTOS and MULTI® IDE to support their capacitive Hands-Off Detection (HOD) sensing solution, a key technology used by vehicle manufacturers to support safe assisted and automated driving systems. Green Hills Software was selected for its RTOS’ minimal footprint and its superior tools which reduced costs and time-to-market. IEE’s multi-zone HOD sensor is a first-class sensing system that monitors hands-on/hands-off steering wheel detection requirements to secure a seamless transition between automated and manual driving modes.
